A male Monarch Butterfly drifts down in the afternoon light and lands on a swaying stem of Goldenrod. The stem bends under his small weight, bouncing gently as he begins to feed on the flowers. 

This field is just one small lifeline needed if he hopes to complete his 3000 mile journey South.
