2015 Creative York Awards

In 2015 YorkArts commissioned me to make a creative trophy for each of the nominees of the 2015 Creative York Awards.

Doot collaborative installation

Doot is a collaborative show created by myself, Andrew D. Yeager, and Lily Fein in the Michael Sickler Gallery in Syracuse, NY in 2015. The installation was made by Lily and myself and was accompanied by a beautiful soundscape created by Andrew. A loose document was available for viewers which identified each of the specimens by a fictional name.

Fallen Meteorite

Ceramic, mixed media, and a graphite drawing on 8 yards of silk. Syracuse University, 2015.

Blue System Nidus

Two mixed media sculptures which were displayed at the Fowler-Kellogg gallery in Chautauqua, NY in 2013.

Bolus collaborative interactive sculpture

Bolus, meaning undigested food, is an interactive collaboration that I created with Lily Fein. During the 2013 Chautauqua Student Exhibition at Fowler-Kellogg Gallery, we invited viewers to pick up, rearrange, and play with our colorful objects. The table is divided by a painted steel backdrop giving the veiwer two worlds to choose between and another surface to move objects onto (some of the objects are affixed with magnets). Viewers were invited to interact with the art objects in the same playful spirit that Lily Fein and I collaborated.
